Free Admission at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, Boca Raton

When: July 1-31

Celebrate summertime with free general admission at the Boca Raton Museum of Art through the month of July 2024 (excluding the 4th of July).

Enjoy exhibitions like Myths, Secrets, Lies, and Truths: Photography from the Doug McCraw Collection, see what’s new on display in the Museum’s Permanent Collection, or take a stroll outdoors in the Ohnell Sculpture Garden.

Events Roundup: What To Do This July in The Palm Beaches

4th on Flagler, West Palm Beach

When: July 4, from 6 – 10 pm. Fireworks start around 9:09 pm.

4th on Flagler is one of South Florida’s largest, free outdoor annual Independence Day celebrations. This event will be the City of West Palm Beach’s 36th Annual Celebration. It will feature live entertainment (music on three stages), a Military Honor Ceremony, family activities, roving entertainment (such as stilt walkers), food and refreshments for purchase, and an 18-minute fireworks show over the Intracoastal Waterway. Viewers can also join the celebration remotely by tuning into a special show on WPBF 25 Special: 4th on Flagler LIVE Fireworks or on WRMF 97.9 for a simulcast of music from 9 – 9:30 p.m.

First Friday Art Walk – Delray Beach

Date & Time: July 5, 6 pm – 9 pm.
Experience the vibrant art scene and live music of Downtown Delray Beach during the First Friday Art Walk. This monthly event invites you to take a leisurely stroll through art galleries, studios, and the Cornell Art Museum at Old School Square. Embark on a self-guided tour, allowing you to explore at your own pace and discover the diverse array of artwork on display.

Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival – Jupiter and Royal Palm Beach

WhenJuly 11-14, July 18-21, and July 25
Palm Beach County’s longest-running, summertime cultural tradition returns when The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival and Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation present the Shakespeare by the Sea XXXIII production of William Shakespeare’s “KING LEAR.”

The Shakespeare by the Sea XXXIII production of KING LEAR takes place July 11 – 14 and 18 – 21 at the Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park, located at 750 South, Florida A1A, Jupiter, FL 33477.

The Shakespeare by the Palms III encore production will be presented on July 25 at the Commons Park Amphitheater in Commons Park, located at 11600 Poinciana Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.

Performances start at 8 pm until 10 pm with a 15-minute intermission. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. for pre-show entertainment.

11th Annual Boca Burger Battle, A Grilling Affair!, Boca Raton

When: July 13

After ten amazing Battle of the Burgers, the BBQ Grills are firing up again to celebrate the 11th Annual Boca Burger Battle Competition on Saturday, July 13th, 2024, in Sanborn Square Park in downtown Boca Raton. The hand-picked Burger Battle 2024 team of Top Chefs are incredibly adventurous at creating the “best burger recipe” as preparations for the Boca Burger Battle, A Grilling Affair!

Each hand-picked chef will create their grilling masterpieces and present them to a prestige table of Grill Master Judge’s which includes a few well known “burger conneseuirs.”

Summer Wellness Events at Namaste at The Gardens, Palm Beach Gardens

When: 15-28 July

Glow up this summer with a celebration of wellness at Namaste at The Gardens. The Gardens Mall’s two-week wellness extravaganza will host activities from Monday, July 15 to Sunday, July 28 in various locations, featuring complimentary fitness and wellness classes, beauty care experiences, special retail offers, and more.

The Gardens Mall will also be hosting a special event featuring puppy yoga with Big Dog Ranch Rescue and YogaSix in the Grand Court on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Guests can help support animals in need by joining Athleta’s philanthropic shopping party from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ten percent of sales will be donated to Big Dog Ranch Rescue.

Other fun wellness initiatives include a Zumba performance in the Grand Court, stroller barre classes with FIT4MOM at Fabletics, chakra readings at Aveda, pro micro skin analysis at L’Occitane (by appointment), and makeup tutorials at Nordstrom.

Soul in the City, West Palm Beach

When: July 17, 7 pm – 9 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

While summer temperatures are heating up, cooler nights are coming soon. The City of West Palm Beach is pleased to announce it is bringing back its popular Soul in the City Jazz Experience. The concert series will feature a lineup of top musicians from across the country. Soul in the City will be held on the third Wednesday of July through September from 7 – 9 p.m. on the West Palm Beach Waterfront. General admission tickets are $30, and table reservations for four or more are $45 per person. Tickets can be purchased at wpb.org/jazz.

July’s band: Sax in the City (Louisiana Jazz).

INFO ABOUT THE PERFORMER: Louisiana contemporary jazz & soul artist Mickey Smith Jr. is a saxophonist, singer, songwriter, musician, and Grammy Music Educator Award-Recipient. Sax in the City is known musically for its explorations into jazz, funk, pop, and soul, as well as their takes on beautiful ballads that give hope and inspiration to audiences to keep on going.

Santa Visits Town Center, Boca Raton

When: July 20 from 11 am – 3 pm

Beat the heat this July and celebrate the holidays early with a tropical twist at Town Center at Boca Raton! The center’s Christmas in July event transports shoppers to a sunny North Pole experience where visitors can expect a fun summer spin on the holiday.

Kids Art Camp at Cornell Art Museum, Delray Beach

When: Saturdays from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm; Session 1 – Emotional Intelligence (3 weeks) July 13, 20 and 27.

Art Instructor, Author and Artist Michelle Sherman will work with kids to utilize paper, chipboard, brochures to cut and collage in a handmade book. Inspired by the “Emotional Intelligence” emoji art and “Oceana Phenomena” exhibitions, kids will create by utilizing drawing, collage and haiku poetry into their own handmade book. Hands-on creation of art is the best way for kids to learn about the museum and exhibitions, drawing concepts, interpret artwork, immersing themselves in their community art culture.

Full Moon Silent Disco & Cacao Ceremony – Riviera Beach

The event begins at 6:30 pm, offering a unique experience under the illuminating light of the full moon. Start the evening with a Cacao Ceremony and meditation, where participants set intentions for the dance. Cacao, known for its heart-opening properties, has been used for centuries in Mesoamerican cultures. Following the ceremony, immerse yourself in a guided ecstatic dance. 2nd Annual Delray Walls Mural Fest, Delray Beach

When: July 26-27, 4 pm – 10 pm

Delray Walls Mural Fest is a two-day street art and music festival in Downtown Delray Beach. The event is a collaboration with Galera Collective & Old School Square in a two-day showcase of some of South Florida’s best street artists from Palm Beach County to Miami. The festival will kick off on Friday night with a live performance from local reggae favorites Spred the Dub. Artists will start that night painting on large wooden panels placed throughout the park and continue painting all day Saturday. The headliner for Saturday is International Reggae Artist Johnny Dread. Murals will remain in the Park at Old School Square over the weekend and then be placed in different locations throughout Delray Beach.

Boynton Beach Night Market, Boynton Beach

When: July 27, from 6 pm to 11 pm

The Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (BBCRA) is thrilled to announce the return of the Boynton Beach Night Market, a premier summer event. This family-friendly, free event will take place on Saturday, July 27, at Centennial Park & Amphitheater.

Visitors can explore over 70 vendors, including local restaurants, retailers, artisans, and service providers. Look for BBCRA businesses in vibrant tents with neon signage and receive complimentary glow and light-up items. The BBCRA information booth will offer Boynton Beach Bucks vouchers to promote local shopping.

The event features live music by Making Faces and Spred the Dub, along with a DJ Truck for dancing. Family-friendly activities include an inflatable slide, bounce house, axe throwing, crafts, yard games, arcade games, face painting, and a selfie station.

Stick around after sunset to shop under the stars and enjoy the night market’s glow. The event will proceed rain or shine.
