Art After Dark, West Palm Beach

Each Friday night from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach organizes Art After Dark—a fun mix of art and entertainment featuring a docent-led tour, an open studio, live music, and more! This Friday, join Resident Teaching Artist Shannon Walker and celebrate Henri Matisse’s book, Jazz, a collection of twenty stencil prints to create your own cut-out collage.

Grassy Waters Presents: Animal Olympics, West Palm Beach

Join naturalists from Grassy Waters Preserve, one of the City of West Palm Beach’s hidden gems, to learn about the amazing adaptations of Everglades animals.

Kids entering grades K-5 in August will have the opportunity to learn about these adaptations firsthand by competing through a series of hands-on activities to find out if they have what it takes to be an Everglades animal. Can you see as far as an owl? Are you as long as an alligator? Can you stand on one leg as long as a heron, and more.

Get your weekend dose of Vitamin Sea at The Seagate’s sunrise beach yoga class in Delray Beach. Held weekly on The Seagate Beach Club’s private beach, the 60-minute morning Vinyasa yoga flow class taught by Cocoyogi’s Corey Heyman will help build strength, stamina, flexibility, and concentration. Coco Market is a monthly wellness market that builds community and fosters new connections. It is held on the first Sunday of every month at Old School Square. Its mission is to bring local businesses together to support one another and the larger wellness community. During the events, which are free and open to the public, kids and adults of all ages can enjoy a variety of fun and interactive activities including healing classes like yoga, meditation, and sound baths, healing modalities, such as spinal adjustments, massages, workshops, crafts, and local curated vendors.

Find “Tiny Doors” Hidden in Downtown West Palm Beach

When: May 24 – July 7

The West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is launching a one-of-a-kind scavenger hunt in Downtown West Palm Beach that will put participants’ best investigating skills to the test.

Between May 24 and July 7, the DDA will hide “Tiny Doors” at locations throughout Downtown West Palm Beach.  Each week, prizes will be awarded to three explorers who are able to track down these hidden treasures.

The contest is open to the public and offers the community a great opportunity to explore all of what downtown has to offer.

Selected winners will be awarded prizes valued at $100 every week, so there will be plenty of chances to visit “The Center of Paradise” in Downtown West Palm Beach.
