Parking is available in the City of West Palm Beach’s public parking garages. Parking at the City Center, Clematis and Sapodilla garages will be a $5 flat rate. The closest garages to the event, Banyan and Evernia, will be $5 before 4 p.m. and then $10 after 4 p.m.
Save the date for South Florida’s largest, free outdoor Annual Independence Day Celebration!
The City of West Palm Beach will soon host its 36th Annual 4th on Flagler celebration with a festive “Where Wishes Come Red, White and True” theme. The highly anticipated event will return as the largest waterfront Independence Day celebration in South Florida from 6 – 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Live music, family-friendly activities and vendors with food and drinks for purchase will populate the City’s downtown area along Flagler Drive (between Banyan Blvd. and Fern Street). A fireworks display by Pyrotecnico will ignite over the Intracoastal Waterway around 9:09 p.m.
Residents and visitors alike come from all over South Florida and beyond to enjoy this family-friendly entertainment, patriotic celebrations, stunning waterfront views, and the impressive 18-minute fireworks display.
West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James will give remarks from the NewDay USA Stage during the Military Honor Ceremony, which will include a live performance of the National Anthem, a Military Honor Salute, and the presentation of the annual Hometown Hero Award.
The event features three stages of music, a kids’ entertainment zone, Florida Power & Light Strolling Entertainers, including stilt walkers, food and refreshments for purchase, and an 18-minute fireworks display. Additionally, 4th on Flagler will be the start and end point for the annual Bill Bone 5K.
More than 50,000 people are expected to attend 4th on Flagler. People who prefer to celebrate at home can watch the fireworks display as a WPBF 25 Special: 4th on Flagler LIVE Fireworks or on WRMF 97.9 for a simulcast of music from 9 – 9:30 p.m.
